Laminate Floors
True Laminate floors do not contain any real wood at all, although they can be made to look like wood. They are often made of melamine resin. Laminate flooring tends to be considerably cheaper than solid wood.
Do you know the difference between laminate and engineered flooring? Laminate floors should not be confused with engineered floors. Engineered floors contain a top layer of real wood. Sometimes engineered floors are also referred to as laminate to show that they are not solid wood.
Top end true laminate floors can be of a reasonable to good quality which satisfies many people. Others however, insist on having real wood which has a feel and a longevity that synthetic flooring cannot match.
Lower quality laminate flooring can look very tacky, especially after some wear and tear.
